The Minglanilla Police received three collapsible outposts from the Visayan Electric Company (Veco) recently.

The outposts were turned over by Veco community relations head Eric Ching  to Minglanilla Mayor Elanito Peña, Vice Mayor Robert John Selma and town deputy police chief Insp. Christopher Castro in a simple ceremony at the town’s plaza.

The facility,  made from scrap wood from recycled Veco posts, will be installed in strategic areas within the town for police visibility.

The outposts will be manned 24 hours.

“What is good is that these structures can easily be moved to different areas within our crime map if we see a need,” said Castro.

The Minglanilla police force is the fourth recipient of Veco’s collapsible outposts  which cost around P25,000 each.

Other beneficiaries are the Mandaue City Police Office with 10  outposts, barangay Kasambagan in Cebu City and barangay Calajoan in Minglanilla with one outpost each.
