AFTER a controversy that hounded the operation of the “Cebu Yellow Submarine,” the ride has become one of the tourists’ favorites.

It was suspended for two months after crashing into some corals in Mactan island a few months ago, but Kim Che Il, manager of the Cebu Yellow Submarine, said people have started trusting them after they complied with the requisites set by the local government before re-opening and now draw a lot of local and foreign tourists.

“We incurred millions of losses…but it’s okay now,” Kim said, adding that their customers are not only first-timers but they also have people who come back for another experience.

The Cebu Yellow Submarine is based at the Imperial Palace in barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City. Fee for adults is P1,300 while children pay P900.

They go for as many as four dives per day depending on the volume of passengers. They can accommodate 45 people at one time.
