DAR turns over tractor to Bogo farmers to increase production

THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently turned over a brand new tractor worth P3.9 million to Anonang Norte Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (ANARBA) in Bogo City, northern Cebu to improve their agricultural production.

Dr. Antonio del Socorro, OIC Assistant Regional Director and also Provincial Agrarian Reform program officer II of DAR Cebu Provincial Office graced the turnover ceremony held last May 20 at the multi-purpose ground of barangay Anonang Norte.

Del Socorro encouraged the organization to use the tractor to increase their farm production.

The signing of the trust agreement was entered into by Del Socorro and ANARBA chairperson Diomelico Bolambao during the turnover ceremony.

Bolambao said they are happy to receive the brand new tractor. “It’s a dream come true especially in  our place that was affected by typhoon Yolanda.”

“We have to make use of this equipment to increase our production, and we thanked DAR for this opportunity,” he added.
