No classes were held in the extension campus of Cebu Technological University (CTU) in barangay Bonbon, Cebu City Monday morning.
Bonbon barangay chairman Alexander Ibarrita said there were no teaching staff, only security guards in the barangay sports complex where the classes are supposed to be held.
“I’ve ordered my barangay tanod and barangay staff to monitor the area and report to me,” he said.

About 10 students reportedly went into the area this morning expecting classes to push through. Rep. Rodrigo Abellanosa of Cebu City’s south district, however said classes are postponed.
Abellanosa, who was supposed to have a press conference today, rescheduled it on Wednesday.
“For now, we’re helping the students secure their medical certificates, CBC and x-ray exams to complete the enrollment requirements of CTU main,” Abellanosa said.
He said they hope classes can start within the week. Missed classes will be made up on Saturdays, he added.
