LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu – A female motorcycle rider was killed after she was hit by a falling rock as she was traversing the road in Sitio Palanas, Brgy. Inayagan in Naga City, Cebu at around 11 a.m. on Monday, November 11.
The victim was identified as Jaymica Fabolar, a 30-year-old resident of Tuburan town in northwestern Cebu.
Inayagan Barangay Councilor Boy Tablate said that Fabolar sustained injuries on the right side of her body.

Tablate said that the fallen rock came from an elevated area located beside the road.
“Nahagbongan sa bato, unya kusog man ang dagan sa bato,” Tablate said.
(She was hit by a rock that fell from the side of the hill and she was also traveling fast.)
Tablate said barangay officials had yet to determine where the rock came from since there was no ongoing quarry operation in Sitio Palanas.
He said that the area where the rock came from was also uninhabited.
Tablate said that Fabolar came from work and was passing by the area on her way home to Cebu City when the rockfall happened. She worked in a manufacturing firm of an industrial park in the City of Naga in southern Cebu.
He said that Fabolar was already dead when she was brought to the Minglanilla Provincial Hospital.
“Na-hemorage siguro siya kay ang iyang tiyan niburot man,” Tablate added.
(She must have suffered a hemorrhage because her stomach got bigger.)
