THREE TOWNS in northern Cebu have new police chiefs following a reshuffling implemented by the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).
The towns affected by the reshuffling were Compostela, Consolacion and San Remigio.
Senior Supt. Noel Gillamac, director of CPPO, said the revamp came after the evaluation on every police station’s performance in the campaign against illegal drugs.
Those who were relieved from their posts were found out to have performed poorly in the illegal drugs campaign, said Gillamac.
Chief Insp. Fructoso Lim was relieved as chief of the Compostela Police Station and was named the new head of the Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Branch (PIDMB) of CCPO.
Senior Insp. Wilson Abot, the former PIDMB chief, is now the chief of the Liloan Police Station.
From being the deputy chief of the Liloan police, Insp. Sinforiano Abayabay is now the new chief of the Compostela police.
Chief Insp. Alexander Ancao was relieved as chief of the San Remigio police and was replaced by Senior Insp. Franco Oriol.
“This is just minor reshuffling. But expect that our performance evaluation will continue in southern Cebu and expect movement,” said Gillamac.
