MEMBERS OF THE Dancesports Team Cebu City (DTCC) led the medal haul of the Cebuanos in yesterday’s playing date of the 2015 National Finals of the Philippine National Games as they snared six gold, one silver and three bronze medals at the Makati Coliseum in Makati City.
Leading the cast of the gold medalists of the DTCC is the pair of John Paul Mocorro and Mary Joy Dumosmog, who topped the Latin Youth D and C categories.
Also helping the Cebuanos’ cause is the tandem of Zjiane Troy Villarta and Zjiana Tracy Villarta, who snared the gilt in the Standard Youth A division, while the tandem of Andrew Ysla and Noelyn Mie Pedrano bagged the gold in Latin Youth A division.
Also starring for the mighty DTCC is the pair of Anselmo Estillore and Mary Desiree Seraga, who claimed the gold in the Latin Grade A competition.
In the rain-delayed tennis matches, the Cebuanos are also in the right track as they are all leading their respective foes before rainfall stopped their events.
Bernadine Nino Siso is on track for a quarterfinals berth as he led Davao City’s Kevin Varquez, 6-2, before rain stopped their second set encounter.
RJ Abarquez is also leading, 5-1, over his National Capital Region rival Deo Talatayud, alongside Em-Em Siso, who led Shaira Rivera of Davao City, 3-0, in the opening set.
Another Cebuana bet, Hannah Espinosa, has yet to play her second match of the competition after winning her opening match.
