FORMER world title challenger Vergilio “Maton” Silvano is set to fight this coming Saturday night in General Santos City along with two fellow Omega Boxing Gym stablemates.
The fight will be held at the Robinson’s Mall atrium in General Santos City.
Silvano, who has won his last two fights after losing to Ryan Taconing for the OPBF light flyweight title last year in Metro Manila, is aiming to win impressively this Saturday to get back in the rankings in the light flyweight division.
The 25-year-old Silvano, who hails from Dalaguete town, southern Cebu, holds a record of 20 wins with 12 knockouts and four losses.
His opponent on Saturday night will be Jetro Pabustan, who has a record of 25-2 with 7KOs.
He is from Sarangani Province and has also won his last two fights this year.
Both will fight in a 10-round non-title showdown.
Silvano’s stable mate Jimboy Haya (7-2,4KOs) of Bukidnon will fight the unbeaten Junuel Lacar (7-1,5KOs) also in 10-round match in the undercard.
Joining Silvano and Haya in the fight card will be the undefeated Salatiel Amit (6-0, 4KOs), who will take on another unbeaten foe Jade Bornea (3-0,2KOs) in an eight-round match.
