SENIOR Supt. Mariano Natu-el Jr. on Wednesday assumed post as officer-in-charge of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO).
Natu-el replaced Supt. Julian Entoma, who served as OIC of the MCPO for two months after former MCPO chief, Senior Supt. Petronili Baldebrin’s transfer to Camp Crame.
Natu-el is back in Cebu after a stint in Negros Oriental where he headed the provincial police office.
Natu-el is a former chief of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office. He was OIC of the Cebu City Police Office before his assignment to Negros.
“I am glad and happy to be assigned here and I think we will be peaceful and efficient as the mayor gives his best support to the police,” said Natu-el in a phone interview.
Natu-el has attended meetings to discuss security preparations for next month’s Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) meet.
In another development, the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM) has a new director.
Glenn Antigua took over after former TEAM director Edwin Ermac retired last July 1.
Antigua served as Ermac’s assistant.
