Lions Club turnovers school building

When typhoon Yolanda struck the Philippines, Multiple District 301 (composed of all the Lions Clubs in the Philippines) formed the Lions MD301 Haiyan Relief Committee, and adopted
the town of San Isidro, Leyte.

Last May 29, the MD301 Haiyan Relief Committee headed by PID Michael So & Project Chairman EM Ang together with members of the Cebu Lions Club headed by President Herbert Walter, and project coordinator Alex Go went to San Isidro, Leyte for the turnover of the school building. The new school building was built to withstand winds up to 270KPH.

Present during the turnover was San Isidro Town Mayor Susan Ang together with the school officers of San Isidro Central School, San Isidro, Leyte. From Lions District 301B2 were governor Frederick Lim, Incoming First Vice Governor Rommel Peñaranda & incoming 2nd Vice Governor Stephen Yap.

This project was made possible through the  LCIF (Lions Club International Foundation) , in which generous donations from Lions worldwide for the rehabilitation of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) devastation, this was initiated by Lion International President Barry Palmer during the Lion Year 2013 -2014.
