The Cebu Provincial government has lined up activities in celebration of its 446th anniversary next month.
The Cebu Provincial Information Office said there will be a breastfeeding affair on Aug. 1 and the Ironman Challenge on Aug. 2.
The opening ceremony and the launching of the Agri Fair will be held at the Capitol grounds on Aug. 3.
A “Wellness Day” will be conducted on Aug. 4, and Bangga sa Katawa ug Kanta and the raffling of minor prizes on Aug. 5. On Aug. 6, there will be a Holy Mass and an anniversary program.
An Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation briefing will be held on Aug. 7 and a fun run on Aug. 8.
On Aug. 12, Farmer’s Day will highlight ten outstanding Cebuano farmers. Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III will issue a declaration of a special resolution stating that farmers are the heroes of the land.
The State of the Province Address will be held on August 17.
On Aug. 20-22, there will be an art exhibit at the Capitol Gallery featuring the works of different participating barangays.
