Province’s OIC doctors get permanent appointment

TWENTY-SIX newly appointed doctors took their oaths of office at the office of Gov. Hilario Davide III last Tuesday.

Dr. Cynthia Genosolango, officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Cebu Provincial Health Office (CPHO), said these doctors specialize in general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, internal medicine and radiology.

Genosolango said Davide is expecting these newly appointed doctors to be committed to their work.

“The administration of Governor Davide is fully supporting our all-out efforts to man our hospitals by filling up all vacant positions,” said Genosolango.

The previous OICs of Badian District Hospital, Bantayan District Hospital, Daanbantayan District Hospital, Juan Dasado Memorial Hospital and Oslob District Hospital will now work as full-time chiefs.

There were also newly appointed medical specialists I and II from the Cebu provincial hospitals in Balamban, and the cities of Carcar, Danao and Bogo.

The newly appointed medical officers III came from Badian District Hospital, Daanbantayan District Hospital, Barili District Hospital, Cebu Provincial Hospital in Danao, Oslob District Hospital, Dr. Jose Borromeo Memorial Hospital in Pinamungajan and Ricardo Manigo Memorial Hospital in Tudela, Camotes Island.

The CPHO also has a newly appointed medical officer IV. /Palompon Institute of Technology Intern Mariel Grabillo
