GLOBE Telecom, Inc. will revamp all its stores into Generation 3 (GEN3) outlets, with zones dedicated to content and mobile applications.
The company recently opened its first GEN3 store in the Visayas at the Ayala Center Cebu.
A GEN3 store, conceptualized by world-renowned designer Tim Kobe, features different zones for music, entertainment, productivity and life.
Each zone has movable vignette stalls, which will feature a base application, be it Spotify, HOOQ, or NBA. The app will be paired with the latest devices.
“We’re basically marketing the best content, because these days, what the phone can do is beginning to be irrelevant. What’s important is what content and what apps you have that will fit the way you use your phone,” said Joe Caliro, Globe head of retail transformation and store management.
The new store has a play bar and a video hotline, which replaced the service counters and number lines that feel impersonal to a customer.
