Software development company N-Pax Cebu Corp. will soon be able to boost its capability to serve clients in Southeast Asia and Japan.
N-Pax president Wilson P. Ng said his eldest son Earl Christianson will train with Nomura Research Institute (NRI) Hong Kong starting August “to grow the Filipino’s capability in Cebu to service NRI clients in Asean and Japan.”
The younger Ng said he wants to gain experience before he comes back to Cebu. He recently graduated at the top of his class at the Chung Chi College (CCC), Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), becoming the first Filipino to do so in Hong Kong.
“I’ll be starting (work) this August. It’s a company called NRI that does QAD software,” he said.
NRI, a consulting services and system solutions company affiliated with Nomura Securities of Japan, invested in
N-Pax in October last year to reinforce its information technology (IT) services and respond to the diversification of customer needs in Southeast Asia.
N-Pax is a joint venture of Ng Khai Development Corp. and Japanese system integration company C-Pax Ltd. Co.
It develops business solutions for its clients, provides technical services to special economic zone locators, and provides support for outsourcing projects in Asia and the US.
Based on its website, N-Pax now has over 100 employees from only 10 people at the start of its operations in 2002. Among the solutions it develops for its clients are Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), accounting solution, HRIS and payroll solution.
