After penetrating the Manila market and expanding its reach in the Visayas region, homegrown restaurant Dimsum Break opened its first branch in Mindanao recently. Located in Butuan City, Dimsum Break brings to the Timber City of the South the widest variety of dimsum dishes served in a fast, interactive setup. Situated in Robinsons Place Butuan, this Dimsum Break branch hopes to become a favorite destination for mall-goers looking to unwind in between shopping and recreational activities.
Dimsum Break is the fastfood brand of Harbour City Dimsum House Co., Inc. (HCDHCI), which also operates Ding Qua Qua Dimsum House and Harbour City Dimsum House restaurants. HCDHCI pioneered the dimsum cuisine in its home market of Cebu and is now celebrating its 46th year in the business. The opening of the Butuan branch is the company’s 4th franchise branch and brings HCDHCI’s nationwide branch network to 20, with 1 in Manila and 17 in Visayas and 2 in Mindanao.
For the rest of the year, HCDHCI expects to open at least 2 more franchise stores in the Vismin area and at least 2 company owned stores in the Metro Cebu area as it expands its branch network and nationwide footprint.
