Police killed a robbery suspect, who tried to shoot it out with police last Friday in barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
Joel Rosales Conseja of barangay Tejero, Cebu City died of multiple gunshot wounds.
PO2 Kenneth John Gaquit and PO2 Diosdado Lunday apprehended Conseja after they were informed that at 10 p.m., two men on a bike had robbed a woman and fled with her purse containing P150 cash near the old White Gold House.
The policemen, who were patrolling the area, together with the victim pursued the robbers and chanced upon Conseja.
The victim identified him as one of the robbers.
When the policemen tried to arrest Conseja, the suspect allegedly pulled out a gun prompting the policemen to fire at him.
The policemen recovered the coin purse with the stolen money and Conseja’s .45 pistol.
