SHS-AdC booters bag 3 crowns in Univille tilt

Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) flexed their collective muscles yesterday and pocketed three titles in the final day of the 1st Univille 7-Aside Football Festival at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).

SHS-AdC ruled the under-18 girls and the under-15 boys and girls’ divisions.

PAREF Springdale prevented SHS-AdC from sweeping the titles at stake yesterday when it ruled the boys under-18 division.

SHS-AdC nipped Tabor Hills FC, 2-0, to snatch the under-18 girls’ title. It finished the group stage with seven points by beating  Consolacion FC, 4-0, Talisay Razkals, 1-0, and settled for a draw with San Roque Football Club (SRFC), 0-0. The team booked a championship ticket by defeating Warshocks Phoenix FC, 1-0, in the semifinals.

SHS-AdC’s under-15 boys squad survived a close championship match against Warshocks Phoenix FC, winning the title via shootout, 2-1(1-1 regulation). The squad finished the group stage with a flawless run, snatching five wins while Warshocks Phoenix FC had four wins and a single draw.

SHS-AdC’s under-15 girls squad downed STC-A, 3-2, to bring home the crown.

SHS-AdC finished the group stage with two wins and two draws while STC-A had a smooth run after tallying five wins only to stumble in the championship match.

PAREF Springdale FC, on the other hand, dumped SHS-AdC, 4-0, to rule the boys under-18 division.

PAREF Springdale FC went into the final with two titles in the bag after ruling the under-11 mixed and under-nine mixed divisions in the two-day competition that attracted 92 teams.
