Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino has recently introduced their new executives which includes the hotel’s general manager, F&B director, and executive chef.
The three executives boast of international background that will help Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino redefine overall hotel experience.
Grant Raymond Jefferies, the hotel’s general manager, is an Australian national who has been all over the world and comes with more than 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry including hotels, resorts, cruise liners, and casinos. He started his career working for his father’s hotel in Australia at a very young age. He then worked for Hilton Worldwide, Raffles Hotels, Cunard Lines, and Wynn Las Vegas. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City, USA. Jefferies’ experience also includes being New York’s youngest appointed General Manager in his role at the Soho Grand Hotel New York. His record includes launching multiple luxury resorts in Maldives. With all these under his belt, Jefferies aims to bring guests’ experience at Waterfront a notch higher.
Waterfront’s new Director of Food and Beverage Michele Cantini is from Italy. He has worked in Italy and China. He was a Restaurant Operations Manager of The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Shenzhen, and later was became Director of Restaurant at Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai. Before joining Waterfront Cantini was Managerial and Culinary Management consultant at the Mammammia, Shanghai, China. As he joins Waterfront, Cantini is backed by his expertise and experience from different hotels and restaurants operations.
Chef Mark Mulder is Waterfront’s new corporate executive chef. He is a Dutch national with almost 2 decades of experience working in restaurants, cruise liners, and international hotel chains in Europe, USA, and Asia.
Chef Mark had been involved in several newly built restaurant from design and conceptualization, and kitchen renovation projects. His exposure in cuisine is varied including pastry and bakery.
With Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino’s new line-up of executives, they will surely stay on top of the hospitality industry in Cebu.
