Boljoon attack

A 34-year-old farmer hacked and stabbed to death a 28-year-year-old  man with a jungle bolo last Sunday in barangay Upper Beserel, Boljoon, southern Cebu.

Marlon Romaguera told police that he was only defending himself when he attacked Emie Gunista, who threatened him while they were both attending a fiesta in a neighboring barangay.

Romaguera went home, took a jungle bolo and waited for Gunista on the road. After the attack, Romaguera surrendered to the police.
