The Cebu North Bus Terminal will accommodate 10 of the 40 vans-for-hire plying the Balamban route according to Mandaue City Councilor Elstone Dabon.
In a meeting last Tuesday, Dabon, chairman of the committee on transportation, said the CNBT board has approved the proposal of the Cebu City Transportation Office.

Mayor Jonas Cortes earlier opposed the idea, saying it would worsen traffic congestion in Mandaue City, but Dadon said he was confident this would not happen since the vans will not pass through the city center.
A formal request was sent last August 4 to CNBT general manager Zosimo Jumao-as Jr.
Jumao-as expressed his willingness to accommodate the V-hires but not all units for lack of space.
The 40 V-hires are part of the 300 vans affected by the closure of the One Citilink Terminal last July 28.
