Silkair celebrates one year in Kalibo

Silkair, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, today celebrates one year of operations in Kalibo (Boracay). Since the inaugural flight from Singapore touched down on May 27, 2014, the service has proven popular amongst regional and international leisure travelers, with healthy passenger load factors.

“We at Silkair are pleased to celebrate our 1st anniversary here in Kalibo with our customers and partners. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers and trade partners who have supported us in our maiden year in Kalibo, and look forward to continue serving them in the years to come.” said Ganesh Peruma, Silkair’s Manager Philippines.

To commemorate this special occasion, the airline presented a gift to all passengers who travelled from on May 28, 2015. Silkair also hosted an anniversary dinner on June 2 to thank the various stakeholders and industry partners for their continued support.

Silkair currently operates three services a week between Kalibo and Singapore, offering full service flights with business and economy class cabins. Customers can visit www.silkair.com for further information and to book their next travel on Silkair.
