The all-new MINI Cooper 3-door and 5-door along with other models of the iconic British brand were put to the test last Aug. 8 and 9 in an event dubbed MINI Driving Experience at the SM City Cebu open parking lot.
Selected guests were given the chance to drive the MINI Cooper on a track designed by racecar champion Georges Ramirez.
Ramirez and his team also coached guests on driving safety tips and introduced the many unique features of the MINI Cooper.
The track simulated different driving conditions that put on display the best of the MINI’s maneuverability and agility. There were slalom, brake-and-evade tests in the safety course that the MINI passed with flying colors.
There was also a gymkhana course that guests were made to complete aboard the MINI Cooper. The guest with the lowest time after the two-day event won a special prize from MINI Cebu and MINI Philippines.
MINI Cebu president Kris Lyndon Go said the event was organized to highlight the amazing capabilities of the MINI on the road.
Officials from MINI Cebu and MINI Philippines said they are looking to hold this kind of event here again next year.
