The archers of Team Cebu City (TCC) and Silliman University (SU) shone bright in last weekend’s 114th Founders Day Celebration-Indoor Archery Tournament of the Silliman University (SU) in Dumaguete City.
Team Cebu City went home with four titles while the Silliman University-Dumaguete Archery Club (SUDAC) bagged five titles.
TCC, composed of Sebastian Blanco, Rogelio Tremedal and Kaine Casquejo, topped the men’s team event by beating Dumaguete Archery Club (DAC), which placed second followed by SUDAC.
In the individual event, TCC’s Rosendo Sombrio ruled the compound open while Sebastian Alex Blanco of the Cebu Archery Club won the Re-curve Cadet Boys.
Also bagging a title was Vincent Villa of Cebu Archery Club, dominated the Re-curve J-A Men’s division. SUDAC, on the other hand, dominated the women’s team event. The team, composed of Marie Merto, Freanch Siao and Crisha Merto, bested team Puro Gwapa and DAC-Girls, which finished second and third, respectively.
Individual winners were Marie Merto (Re-curve J-A girls), Crisha Mae Merto (re-curve cub girls), Gabriel Flores(re-curve cub boys), Maria Ferimi Gleam Bajado of SUHS Archery Team (re-curve cadet girls).
