Making pastries and bringing them to life with aesthetics and flavor was not exactly Neil Vano’s passion, but it wasn’t long before his love for his work would knead and mold him to become a well-awarded pastry chef at Quest Hotel & Conference Center, Cebu. Though he acquired a bachelor of Psychology with flying colors, a burning curiosity about the hotel industry led him to a handful of 5-star hotels and luxurious resorts.

Today, Chef Neil, as he is fondly known, does not just make pastries but is also responsible for a team of chefs, bakers and other kitchen staff while supervising food handling, sanitation, and nutrition.

Aside from winning the hearts of event clients and dining guests with meticulously crafted sweets, Chef Neil’s pastries have received gold, silver and bronze medals during industry competitions such as Cebu Goes Culinary, all while he continues to strive to deliver the best quality with an ardent commitment to effective cost control, style and creativity, and taste, for Quest Hotel & Conference Center’s all-day dining outlet, Pusô Bistro & Bar and the hotel’s signature Bread Library.
