Mabolo suicide try

Police foiled a suicide try of a 35-year-old male detainee in the Mabolo Police Station yesterday.

Paramedics were able to revive the unconscious detainee who was found hanging inside the police detention cell’s comfort room.

The detainee, who is facing a frustrated murder complaint, tied one of the garter of his underwear around his neck while he tied the other end to a bar  at the ceiling of the detention cell.

Police said other detainees noticed the 35-year-old detainee to be depressed in the past couple of days.

The detainee has been in prison since Sunday. He is accused of attacking his neighbor using a piece of wood.
