COLOR MANILA Run’s “Black Light Cebu Run” blasts off tonight with around 2,000 set to join the non-competitive and unique running event that starts at the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City.
Most of the participants are not really serious runners but party goers, according to race director Joel Juarez of Coco Running. This is because the running event is more of festive than competitive.
The race will have a party-like atmosphere that will be highlighted by the colored powder that will glow in the dark once hit by the black light that participants will be using.
This will be the second running event of Color Manila Run in Cebu. The first was last May 20 at the same venue but it was a morning run.
The race kicks off at 7 p.m. There will be 3k, 6k and 10k distances.
