Capitol allots P31M for projects in Argao, Dalaguete towns

Barangays in the towns of Argao and Dalaguete in south Cebu  received P31 million worth of road, water system and public building projects.

A press statement from the Provincial Information Office stated that Cebu Gov. Hilario P. Davide III, Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale and second district Rep. Wilfredo Caminero led the inauguration of the projects last August 28.

Barangay Tabayag, Argao also town received a mini ambulance.

Caminero said the 9-kilometer farm-to-market road links Argao to the vegetable market in barangay Mantalongon, Dalaguete.

The  concreting of the road will continue in 2016.  A P5-million water system was also installed in Barangay Bulak, Dalaguete.  The water system will supply water to the villagers in the hinterland of Dalaguete.

The village, also a recipient of a P2-million multi-purpose building, is situated at the borders of Dalaguete and Argao.

Governor Davide said Cebu will get P1.5-billion worth of road projects next year.

He said these are all local road networks that would benefit residents and domestic and foreign tourists.
