A 32-YEAR-OLD man caught his wife sleeping with his best friend at the family home in Lamesa, Balamban town, Cebu.
The woman and her lover were later detained in the Balamban poiice station pending the filing of a charge of adultery.
Cebu Daily News is withholding the identities of the persons involved to protect the couple’s children.
“I choked him. Good thing my brother intervened,” said James (not his real name) in Cebuano.
The couple’s two children aged 6 and 8 were sleeping in the next room.
James said he did not expect his 23-year-old friend, whom he considered a brother, to betray him.
They were co-workers in a company in Balamban.
The friend, Daniel, would sleep over in the couple’s home and have his clothes laundered by the wife.
The husband suspected something amiss when his wife and Daniel became textmates.
The couple had a heated argument over the discovery and the wife asked her spouse to temporarily leave the house.
James went to stay with his brother in another barangay.
At past 9 p.m. on Tuesday, after being alerted by a neighbor, James returned to the house accompanied by police.
They caught the wife, partly dressed, and the friend naked, having sex in the living room.
