The Mandaue City Council approved a resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to conduct a traffic study in Mandaue City especially the northbound lanes and roads leading to and from Metro Cebu.

Councilor Emmarie Ouano-Dizon said she  met MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino several weeks ago and asked if the agency could conduct the traffic study.

Dizon said she learned that the MMDA also conducted traffic studies in the cities of Davao, Iloilo, Surigao, Tacloban and Cagayan de Oro. She said the study can be done in a week.
