MORE than 2,000 runners donning their favorite Detective Comics (DC) superhero costume-inspired race singlets will answer the starting gun this morning in the first ever Justice League Run at the SM City Cebu car park.
The running event, which is licensed by Warner Bros. Inc. will be featuring a 3-kilometer, 5k and 10k distances which will traverse the North Reclamation Area (NRA) highway, S. Osmeña road and South Road Properties (SRP).
The non-competitive running event is part of 7-Eleven’s celebration for the opening of its 1,500th store here in the country. The race is organized by the Global Procurement Inc.(GPI) in partnership with Coco Running of race director Joel Juarez.
Watch runners wearing the costumes of the Caped Crusader (Batman), the Man of Steel (Superman), Green Lantern, The Flash and Wonder Woman in the fun-filled running event.
The race will fire off at 5:15 in the morning. Exciting prizes await the top runners in each distance while non-winners will get a chance to win in the raffle draw.
The seaside road in SRP will be closed during the duration of the race, according to Juarez.
