USC wins anew

The University of San Carlos Lady Warriors snatched their third win in five games by clobbering the listless Cebu Doctors University White Stallions, 25-15, 25-15, 25-22, yesterday in the Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) women’s volleyball tournament at the Aznar Coliseum.

The win allowed the Lady Warriors to overtake the University of Southern Philippines-Foundation Lady Panthers (2-2) for the third spot in the standings.

The White Stallions stayed winless after four matches.

In the girls division, the University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars ended the eliminations with an unbeaten 6-0 slate after nailing two victories in one day.

The red-hot Jaguars started the day without breaking a sweat after scoring default win over the Cebu Eastern College Dragons (0-6).

CEC failed to show up as the school was having its Intramurals.

USJ-R followed up the easy win with a 25-10, 25-18 drubbing of the University of Cebu Webmasters (2-3).

In the men’s division, the University of San Carlos Warriors (3-2) followed up their superb win over the Southwestern University Cobras by nipping the listless UC,  25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

The Webmasters bowed out from tournament with a dismal 0-6 record.
