Villacin, Lim win in Dumanjug

LOUIE Villacin and Kristiane Lim topped last Saturday’s Paramount Tri Team Championship series 2015 in Dumanjug town, southwest Cebu.
Villacin and Lim, both Ironman 70.3 Philippines veterans, topped the individual full distance race that features a  1.5-kilometer swim, 40k bike and 10k run.
Villacin had a time of  2:49.30 to rule the women’s race while Lim clocked 2:14.52 to bag the men’s title. They went home with P7,000 each for winning the race.
Cianyl Jamae Gonzales finished second to Villacin with a time of 3:03.45 followed by Denise Abcede at third, clocking  3:12.12.
Former XTerra off-road triathlon champion Joseph Miller finished second in the men’s race with a time of 2:20.08 while Talisay City’s Kim Andrew Remolino snatched third place, crossing the finish line at the 2:26.02 mark.
Winners in the age-groups were Donray Noval (29-above),  Jan Sinda (30-34), Michael Mancio (35-39),  Leonardo  Angeles Jr. (40-49), Arnie Dechuas Basinillo (50-above), Lucille Ruiz (30-39) and Maria Celeste Maniquis (40-above).
Trimac won the relay title with a time of 2:26:18.
In the sprint distance, Alfred Latrell  Pacabis claimed the top spot in the men’s race while Vangie Janea ruled the distaff side.
