THE TABUELAN to Tabuelan (T2T) 160k and 100k Ultra Marathon will mean a lot to Timmy Besario of Dumaguete City.
This after Besario topped the 160-kilometer race of the event in his first try in such a grueling race.
Besario of Team DARS/MDRC finished first with a time of 26 hours, 17 minutes and 51 seconds.
Butuan City’s Eli Loquere of BXU Runners Club finished second with a time of 28:21.15 while Cris Nalo of the Cebu Ultrarunners Club (CUC) rounded off the top three, clocking 28:26:45.
The race started Saturday and ended yesterday.
Marlon Ba-ay of the Mandaue Runners Club and Carmel Angel Yu of Team ADR conquered the 100-kilometer ultra marathon.
Ba-ay topped the men’s run with a time of 15:31.42. Yu bagged the women’s title with a time of 16:20.02.
Orven Delima of the Igat Runners Club finished second to Ba-ay with a time of 15:51.10 while Team ADR’s Santonin Yu rounded off the top three, clocking 17:31.52.
Dalhia Urot of the Mandaue Runners Club settled for second in the women’s race with a time of 17:39.22 while Shalee Delgado Angue of CUC finished third (18:00.12).
The running event was organized by the Municipality of Tabuelan, CUC and the Adik Ug Dagan University.
