The tourist police of Lapu-Lapu City received their new uniforms from the Lapu-Lapu City government with the city’s branding logo.
The uniforms, consist of caps, bags, patrol shirts and patrol shorts, were distributed to the 85 tourist police personnel.
Senior Insp. Junnel Caadlawon, acting chief of Lapu-Lapu City Tourist Police, extended his gratitude to Mayor Paz Radaza and appreciated her continuous support, especially for granting their request of the new uniforms.
“The issuance of this new set of uniforms will always remind us that the city government under the leadership of Mayor Radaza looks after the betterment and presentable image of the Tourist Police Unit assigned in the Historic Resort City,” said Caadlawon.
He said they will continue to ensure that foreign and local tourists will enjoy and be worry-free during their stay in Lapu-Lapu.
He said it was very timely also that these uniforms were given before the Apec Energy and Transportation Ministerial Meetings on October 8 to 14 at the Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu City.
“This will make us distinct among other units in performing our duties and responsibilities in securing the APEC 2015 delegates.
