THE remains of 73-year-old Faustino Tulod was found in a portion of the Butuanon River at 1 p.m. located three kilometers away from his home in barangay Maguikay in Mandaue City.
He got stuck on a portion of the river’s mouth before it was washed out into sea.
Felix Suico Jr., head of the Cebu City City Disaster Risk Management office said he sent personnel to help recover Tulod’s remains.
Tulod went missing on Wednesday afternoon after he slipped from his raft while trying to cross to the other side of the river in barangay Maguikay to feed his pigs.
Heavy rains hit Mandaue City on Wednesday making it difficult to cross the river.
