A TRAFFIC enforcer was stabbed and wounded by a tricycle driver whom he cited for a traffic violation in Talisay City, southern Cebu.

Jimmy Abellana, 47, was stabbed in  the arms after he tried to parry the blows.

Jason Cabriana, a 37-year-old resident of barangay Bulacao, Talisay City, was arrested by barangay tanods after the incident.

Police said Abellana caught Cabriano loading passengers in an undesignated area last Thursday afternoon.

The two men argued while Abellana was trying to issue the tricycle driver with a citation ticket.

The argument escalated until Cabriana attacked Abellana with a knife, police said.
