She said her daughter, Lapu-Lapu City Rep. Aileen Radaza, received the letter from LP that authorizes her to issue certificates of nomination to all Lapu-Lapu City candidates in next year’s elections.
Radaza and her lineup will file their candidacies after a Mass at the Nuestra Señora Virgen dela Regla National Shrine tomorrow.
News of Radaza’s appointment disappointed businessman Efrain Pelaez Jr. who ran and lost against the mayor under the LP banner.
“Too bad the Liberal Party veered away from Daang Matuwid (straight path) in Lapu-Lapu City. Having opted for characters associated with graft and corruption, they have abandoned us who have been loyal and who have worked so hard for the party,” he said in a statement sent to media outlets.
