LONG-distance runner Jinggay Lugay and triathlete Jorry Ycong topped the 12-kilometer run of the 9th Pink October Run on Sunday.
Lugay crossed the finish line at the Terraces of the Ayala Center Cebu in one hour, five minutes and 41 seconds to rule the women’s race while Ycong finished with a time of 48:09 to bag the men’s title.
Rexel May Dalinog (1:12.56) and Albeth Maureen Little (1:13.25) were Lugay’s runners-up.
Completing the top three in the men’s side were Simon Dignos (49:59) and Christopher Napalia (50:04).
Dionarie Grace Ferrer topped the 12k cancer survivor category with a time of 1:09.13 while Dr. Brian Belandres (29.55) and Dr. Lalain Sacris (39:19) topped the 6k doctors’ category.
Jade Abellana (31:00) and Jay-r Baclaan (24:40) topped the 6k open while winners in the 3k open were Gerald Beringgel (09:04) and Moira Erediano (14:02).
Dr. Andrei Yu (26:08) and Dr. Meressa Deperaine (31:28) were the winners in the 3k doctors’ category.
The run was held in line with the celebration of Pink October month that aims to spread breast cancer awareness.
