MEGABOND and CMI continue to be the cream of the crop as they bested their respective rivals in the Architects + Engineers Basketball Association Corporate Cup on Saturday at the University of San Carlos gym.
Megabond beat Phoenix, 60-51, behind the yeoman’s effort of Loreniel Tequin who registered 23 points, two rebounds and two assists.
The win was Megabond’s sixth in as many games while handing Phoenix its sixth straight loss.
CMI (5-1) also remained in hot pursuit of the leaders as it edged out Davies, 78-75, behind a balanced scoring attack that had four players score in double figures led by Samboi Parcon’s 27 markers. Richard Badayos contributed 18 points while Jodl Dabon and Jun Villacorta had 13 and 10, respectively.
