Aboitiz to launch ‘most affordable project ever’

DEVELOPER AboitizLand, Inc. is venturing into the low-to-mid-market housing segment with Amoa, a P6-billion development in Compostela town in northern Cebu.

“This is AboitizLand’s most affordable project ever,” said John Amon, vice president for marketing, in an email to Cebu Daily News.

The project offers house-and-lot units for as low as P1.65 million for the 2-story townhouse models and up to P3.1 million for the 2-story detached units. Subdivision lots are also being offered starting at P5,000 per square meter.

Amoa, Cebuano word for “ours,” will rise on a 60-hectare property in barangays Tamiao and Cabadiangan in Compostela, about 21 kilometers north of Cebu City.

Site development will start in the first quarter of 2016 and is projected to be finished within the fourth quarter of 2017, said AboitizLand marketing manager Farrah Lapinid-Mayol.

The project, set for an official launch tomorrow, will offer a total of 2,900 units divided among 7 enclaves. Enclave 1 is pre-selling with only 441 units available.

Mayol said they have secured a license to sell from the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board.

Amon said the project will offer an alternative to cramped living quarters in the city.

“Amoa offers generous spaces and an abundant number of amenities that nurture family life. This is set against a backdrop of a rolling landscape with great views of the sea and the mountains,” he said.

The design concept is “Filipino modern,” with the units inspired by traditional Filipino residences fused with the modernity of minimalist architecture.

There will be 5 house models: Aruna (1-story detached), P2.1 million; Ananda (1-story attached), P2.1 million; Asha (2-story detached, P3.1 million; Asta (2-story attached), P3.1 million); and

Amita (2-story townhouse), P1.9 million for an end unit and P1.65 million for a middle unit.

Amon said the project will give back 46 percent of the area as open and shared spaces.

The amenities include a clubhouse, grand lawn, three swimming pools, children’s play area, basketball court, transit hub and commercial strip, entrance plaza, guardhouse and themed pocket parks.
