Filipina-American BMX rider Sienna Fines has her eyes locked in for the prize in the upcoming 2015 Asian BMX Championships that will be held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar.
But before that, the 17-year-old multi-awarded racer will stop by in Manila this weekend before the event would commence on Nov. 1 (Philippine Time).
She is expected to make a courtesy call with the officials of PhilCycling and the Philippine Sports Commission.
Fines is set to compete while carrying the country’s name for the first time in a major BMX event.
Currently 36th in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) rankings, she needs to earn as much UCI points as possible in her effort to qualify for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics.
Prestigious as she is, Fines has earned at least 135 podium finishes, 49 wins, and seven National Age Group Top 10 rankings as of this writing.
The Sacramento-based lady biker lives with her father, Frank, and plans to return to the country after the international event to spend time with relatives in Ilocos Sur.
