Top bodybuilders vie in Phil–Asia, NABBA tilts

BODYBUILDERS coming from more than a dozen countries will compete in the Fourth Phil-Asia Championships and the National Amateurs Body Building Association (NABBA) Mr. and Ms. Universe 2015 slated Nov. 11-14 at the Mariners Court in Cebu City.

Organizer Dennis Delgado of Cebu Workout Fitness Center said the upcoming competitions will be a historic event as it will be the first time that the NABBA Mr. and Ms. Universe will be held in the country.

Delgado said it took months of hard work before he was able to convince the international organizing committee to allow the CebuWorkout Fitness Center to host the event.

“It was initially planned to be held in Manila but I did not give up. I fought for the hosting and finally here it is. We are proud to say that it will be held in our very own home here in Cebu,” said Delgado.

Around 19 countries will compete in the three-day competition with the Fourth Phil-Asia Championships to be held first on November 11-12 while the NABBA Mr. and Ms Universe will be held on Nov. 13 to 14.

The Fourth Phil-Asia Championships will serve as a qualifier for the NABBA Mr and Ms. Universe.

Around a hundred bodybuilders will compete in different categories and divisions.

Registration is going on at the Cebu Workout Fitness Center along Osmeña Boulevard, this City. Registration is up until November 11.
