Viernes powers Jumbo Plastic over Cagayan Valley
FORMER M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Ninos stalwart Jeff Viernes waxed hot for the Jumbo Plastic Giants, who rolled to a 102-89 win over the Cagayan Valley Rising Suns in the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League Founders Cup on Tuesday night at the JCSGO Gym.
Viernes scored 21 points to help the Giants hike their record up to 4-1. The team was led by the 22 of James Martinez who sent the Rising Suns to their third loss in five games.
In the other match of the twinbill, Supremo Lex edhed Euro-Med, 80-79, to finally break into the win column after suffering four straight losses by an average of over 13 points.
