Minglanilla rerouting takes effect

A REROUTING scheme is being implemented along the Minglanilla National Highway because of a road-concreting project.

Private vehicles and mini-buses bound for Cebu City will have to turn right toward the Tungkop Diversion Road and exit through Calajoan Road.

Public utility jeepneys (PUJs), on the other hand, will have to turn right at St. Cecilia’s College and exit in Metrobank.

“PUJs will now pass by the new public market,” said Minglanilla Traffic Commission supervisor Santiago Maningo.

Southbound private vehicles and mini-buses should turn left to Calajoan and exit in Tungkop while PUJs can pass through the national highway.

“We’ll try this out for one month before we decide to either make this permanent or drop this. There have been complaints about the difficulty in getting a ride at the new public market,” Maningo said in Cebuano.
