ALCE/Jetz of Anthony Alce and Team Original of Christopher Rey Caruana downed separate opponents to earn a piece of the lead in the ongoing 2nd Randall Cup 2015 Christmas League last Saturday at the CEC Lower Court.
Alce/Jetz pulled off a 67-61 win over Team Aldub of Wilfredo Sarmiento Jr., while Team Original nipped erstwhile unbeaten CY Boys All-Star of Manny Ching, 54-45.
Alce/Jetz, Team Original and CY Boys All-Star now share the number one spot in the team standings with similar 2-1 (win-loss) cards.
Jerry Abellanosa led the way for Team Alce with 16 points.
Jose Bitoon and Jake Diamante paced the Originals with 10 and nine points respectively.
In the other game, defending champion Team Lumad finally barged into the win column by beating Inno X of Wilfredo Boyles, 74-64.
Carlo Salinas led Team Lumad with 21 points, while RJ Miranda added 15 markers.
