THERE was no administrative adjudication hearing at the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Cebu City after the barangay officials in barangay Talavera, Toledo City failed to turn over the 982 trees that were cut to give way to a solar plant project in the area.
CENRO officer Raul Pasoc said they will file charges against the officials for failing to turn over the cut trees based on their agreement.
Representatives of the First Toledo Solar Energy group showed up this morning and asked for a deferment of the hearing.
Last Nov. 2, a cease and desist order was issued by the Environmental Management Bureau against the firm for failing to secure a cutting permit as well as a local clearance for land development.
The project developer is Sun Asia Energy Inc. and the property owner is identified as Gino Baltao.
