THE fourth-seed Packers scored a big upset when they stunned the top-seeded Colts, 24-12, and clinched a finals berth in the 17th Cebu Flag Football League (CFFL) yesterday at the UC-METC football field.
In the other semifinals match, the third-seed Rams defeated the second-ranked Steelers, 19-12, to forge a title showdown with the Packers.
Before their championship match with the Rams on Nov. 28, the Packers will fly to Manila to compete in the international Flag Football event dubbed as the Touchdown Manila.
CFFL Manager RJ Hobson said he is looking forward to having a successful tournament.
Hobson revealed that CFFL attracted the most number of participants this season.
“First, we started out with four. Now, we have 10,” Hobson said.
Hobson and league commissioner Emily Rellita will soon announce the venue of the Superbowl Finals.
