Police killed three men in a shootout and arrested four others in barangay Cahumayan, Danao City in northern Cebu last Saturday.
Police said slain suspects Eduardo Dayon Vasquez, 52, Roberto Thomas Perez, 26, and Riel Moral Hermoso fired at them when they approached them.
The three, together with four others, were playing hantak, an illegal toss-coin game.
Police said they were responding to an armed persons report in the area.
Those arrested were Wilson Vasquez, Al Joseph Batucan, Michael Edward Vasquez and Glen Batucan.
The seven suspects were armed with KG 9 pistols and .45 caliber pistols.
PO3 Nelson Pagtuhan of the Danao police said they believe those killed and arrested are suspects in previous robberies in the city.
