CONSUMERS who report problems on wires and posts to the Visayan Electric Co. (VECO) can expect immediate response and repair.
Telecommunications firms in Cebu agreed to authorize Veco to conduct emergency repair works on their wires, posts and other facilities if they can, even without having to secure approval or for a representative from them.
Dubbed as the Emergency Response Guidelines (ERG), the new mechanism will make use of Veco’s existing emergency response system and hotline numbers which the public can call to report problems.
Reports can be done through their hotline number 230-8329 or through Veco’s official Facebook page Visayan Electric Co., its Twitter handle Veco_Cebu and its website veco.com.ph.
“The objective of this ERG is to ensure that all pole attachment and repair, specially for emergency related works, are attended to accordingly,” Veco’s Senior Manager Ian Fabian said.
