THE torrid rivalry between USC coach Glenn Lava and UC mentor Michael Realista is expected to provide an interesting backdrop to this Sunday’s final matches of the Philippine Taekwondo League–Cebu Finals after their respective taekwondo squads booked three match pairings at SM City Consolacion.
Lava’s Warriors and Realista’s Webmasters will face each other the Junior Girls, Cadet Girls, and Junior Boy’s matches.
A USC-UC match is also possible in the Senior Men’s division if the latter defeats a USJ-R jin as the men’s semifinals continue on the same day.
“Mu-follow lang sila (players) sa gameplan, sigurado gyud sila na mudaog,” Realista said.
Realista helped the Cebu Province snatch the taekwondo crown in the recent Philippine National Games-Visayas in Antique last Nov. 12 to 14.
In the other championship matches, the RPower Taekwondo Club will battle it out with UC in the Cadet Boys division.
The Women’s seniors division will pit USJ-R vs UC for the coveted gold medal in the eight-day tournament.
